If you like to explore local marine life then head out to Lara Bay on the north-west coast of Cyprus. Lara Beach is quite deserted and is the home for green and loggerhead turtles. Note that you are not allowed to carry any umbrellas or loungers because of the marine life. While on a holiday in Cyprus you can get up close to Monk seals if you go exploring in some of the sea caves nearby. Getting to the beach is a bit adventurous as you will have to hire a sturdy four-wheel drive vehicle from Paphos or you can reach it by boat.
One of the most popular sunny beach holiday destinations in Cyprus is the Agia Thekla Beach, located about three kilometers from the central place in Agia Napa. The beach known for its golden sand and spans about 300 meters in length and 25 meters wide. Enjoy the many water sport facilities but be always play safe as the deeper waters are not for new swimmers. The beach is easily accessible by bicycle or car.
